I love Queer Eye for a Straight Guy. It’s one of those things straight guys shrug off instinctively: I mean, seriously, a program featuring five homosexual men get all over a single, helpless, heterosexual bloke? Isn’t it bad enough that straight guys have to deal with women, now these poor souls have to deal with gay men too? Nevertheless, one can’t help but be fascinated by the show.

Sure, you’ll start off making faces and laugh all out loud about it, but five minutes into the program, you’ll already be so hooked that nothing short of Superbowl Sunday or a harem of Victoria’s Secret-calibre models, live, will tear you away from the Fab Five. Not to mention that soon as the program ends, you’ll wish you looked a little more like Kyan Douglas and not Mr. Potato Head; i know I do.

Anyhow, I was walking in a book store a few days ago and saw on massive discount Carson Kressley’s (the Queen of the Fab Five) book titled Off the Cuff.

If you get a chance, go buy it, for yourself or for your significant other. It’s quite a good read. Not at all high-fashion bullshit, but practical advice and instructions specially dumbed-down for straight men like you and me.
