What do Nike and Waffles have in common?
0 Comments Published by square January 19th, 2006 in ThoughtsFound an interesting bit of trivia watching Alton Brown’s Good Eats: The Waffle Truth today.
In the 1970s, Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman, a running coach, decided that his team needed better running shoes and went out to his workshop and poured rubber into the family waffle iron, giving birth to the ingenious “Waffle Sole”, which was then made into the “Waffle Trainer” in 1974.

Fancy that!
